Celebrate Bourbon Heritage Month with an exclusive bourbon tasting event at SAMLARC! Bacon, Bourbon & Blues explores the unique flavor profiles of craft bourbon: an iconic American spirit with rich history. This event is designed to provide attendees with an immersive and educational experience – combined with a delicious Southern Charm dinner, a live blues band, and sizzling bacon! Whether you’re a bourbon aficionado or new to the world of whiskey, this event is a wonderful way to enjoy an evening with friends and neighbors.

Bourbon is a type of American whiskey that is known for its distinctive flavor profile, typically featuring notes of caramel, vanilla, oak, and sometimes a hint of spice. The nuances of a bourbon are shaped by variations in ingredients, casks, and amount of time aged. From color and clarity to signature blends, master distillers take great pride in their contributions to a legacy of American spirits.

Four distilleries will be sharing their bourbons (Burning Chair, Bib & Tucker, Bank Street, and Lonehand Peach), and each bourbon will be paired with a specialty bacon that complements each drink’s flavor profile. Attendees will receive a tasting card featuring the tasting notes and bacon pairings. After you’ve sampled each bourbon, our bartenders will create a signature cocktail with your favorite pick!  The JR Lewis Blues Band will provide musical entertainment throughout the evening and keep the dance floor moving. Capture snapshots of friends at the photo booth, find your favorite bacon pairings, and compare notes with friends.

This 21+ event will be held at the Lago Santa Margarita Beach Club. Limited beer and wine selections will be available. Tickets are $51.50 each, and include the four bourbon tastings, plus one signature cocktail (or two glasses of wine/beer). Ticket sales begin on August 28th exclusively at SAMLARC.org - be sure your new website account is ready so you can log in at 10 AM!
