Fishing

The Lago Santa Margarita lies in the shadow of the Saddleback Mountains. The Lake covers 11.5 surface acres and holds 31 million gallons of water - and its 1.1-mile circumference offers beautiful sights while you stroll! The Lake offers five fitness stations, multiple fishing points, and a peaceful amphitheater for relaxation.  Recreational fishing is welcome—the Lake is stocked twice per year when water quality allows.

The Lago Santa Margarita was designed to be a space where the community can walk, fish, cycle, and connect with each other! We invite you to join us in our efforts to keep the Lake safe and beautiful. This year, SAMLARC is partnering with Canyon Wildlife Initiative for Restore the Shore - a Lakeshore cleanup day! SAMLARC will provide gloves, grabbers, bags, and donuts to kick off the fun! Stay tuned for the next event!
