The 2-Day Star Spangled Spectacular is just around the corner! The SAMLARC Board of Directors looks forward to celebrating American Spirit with the community. There are plenty of activities to enjoy on both July 4th and 5th, from the July 4th Bike & Trike Parade to the dazzling evening fireworks show on the 5th! Check out all the fun in store here, and be sure to keep the following reminders in mind for the safety and enjoyment of all. 

Bike & Trike Parade – July 4th at 10 AM 

• Families may begin lining up at 9:30 AM 
• Parade begins at 10 AM 
• No motorized vehicles permitted 
• Pets must be leashed at all times 

Fireworks Show – July 5th at 9 PM 

• Blankets and chairs may be placed around the Lake starting at 6 AM on Thursday, July 4th. Blankets and chairs may not block walkways, and tarps and stakes are not permitted. Items placed earlier than 6 AM on July 4th will be removed and held at the Beach Club for pick-up on July 6th.
• Parking around the Lake and at the Lago Santa Margarita is limited. Please plan to arrive with plenty
• of time to make your way to the Lake! Per SAMLARC’s year-round policy, drones are not permitted on SAMLARC property. This is especially important during our fireworks show, and OCFA will cancel the show if a drone is observed.  

Beach Club Access

• Glass (including jars, serving bowls, and alcohol containers) is not permitted 
• Canopies must not obstruct the lifeguards’ line of sight 
• Only Coast Guard-approved life vests are permitted – no floaties, noodles, kick boards, or floating toys 
• Community BBQs will be available for use; portable BBQs and grills are not permitted 
• Pets are not permitted
• Access on July 4th is open to all SAMLARC Members and guests (5 guest per household) pending facility capacity. The Beach Club will be open 8 AM – 7 PM, with watercraft, activities, and communal BBQs from 11 AM – 6 PM (watercraft available 12-5 PM). 
• Access on July 5th is limited to winners of the Beach Club Wristband lottery. A standby line will be available at the Beach Club on July 5th, and unclaimed wristbands will be released on a first-come, first-served basis. In preparation for the 9 PM fireworks show, the facility will be locked at 8:45 PM per OCFA requirements.
