The SAMLARC Board of Directors looks forward to celebrating 250 years of American Spirit with the community. From the Bike & Trike Parade to the dazzling evening fireworks show, there's plenty of fun in store! Please keep the following reminders in mind for the safety and enjoyment of all.
Bike & Trike Parade – 10 AM
- Families may begin lining up at 9:30 AM
- Parade begins at 10 AM
- No motorized vehicles permitted - e-bikes may be pedaled only
- Pets must be leashed at all times
Fireworks Show – 9 PM
- Blankets and chairs may be placed around the Lake starting at 6 AM on July 3. Blankets and chairs may not block walkways, and tarps and stakes are not permitted. Items placed earlier than 6 AM on July 3 will be removed and held at the Beach Club for pick-up on July 5.
- The grass areas on the far side of Santa Margarita Parkway have been removed per the mandated Turf Conversion Project. Please avoid setting blankets in or standing in these areas.
- Per SAMLARC’s year-round policy, drones are not permitted on SAMLARC property. This is especially important during our fireworks show, and OCFA will cancel the show if a drone is observed.
- Parking around the Lake and at the Lago Santa Margarita is limited. Please plan to arrive with plenty of time to make your way to the Lake!
Beach Club Access
- Beach Club Access is limited to winners of the wristband lottery and will be open from 8 AM - 8:45 PM.
- A standby line will be available at the Beach Club on July 4; unclaimed wristbands will be released at 12 PM on a first-come, first-served basis
- Glass (including jars, serving bowls, and alcohol containers) is not permitted
- Canopies must not obstruct the lifeguards’ line of sight
- Only Coast Guard-approved life vests are permitted – no floaties, noodles, kick boards, or floating toys
- Community BBQs will be available for use; portable BBQs and grills are not permitted
- Pets are not permitted
- In preparation for the 9 PM fireworks show, the facility will be locked at 8:45 PM per OCFA requirements.
