The SAMLARC Board of Directors is excited to celebrate America's 250th anniversary and SAMLARC's 40th year of community! We invite the community to join this patriotic celebration with family and friends. There will be plenty of fun activities for everyone to enjoy throughout the day. And, at the end of the day, we will gather around Lago Santa Margarita to enjoy one of SAMLARC’s great traditions - a spectacular fireworks display filled with colorful and dazzling lights. 

The morning will kick off with a Patriotic Bike & Trike Parade. We invite you to dress in patriotic colors and decorate your bikes and trikes. Leashed pets are also welcome! The parade will ride along the lakeshore, starting at the Beach Club and ending at the Lakeshore Amphitheater. After the amazing ride, we will cool off with ice-cold rocket pops. 

The Beach Club is a fantastic place to spend the 4th of July! There will be plenty of activities to keep the fun going, including a live DJ to maintain the party vibes all day. Join in the fun with interactive games, win prizes, grab a patriotic balloon creation, have your face painted, and sport a temporary airbrush tattoo or two. Community grills will be available for you to grill your favorite meal. The Beach Club Bistro will offer great snacks and fare for purchase. Complimentary watercraft rentals are available from 12 – 4:30 PM for guests eager to explore the Lago Santa Margarita up close. Be sure to register for the Beach Club lottery, as access on July 4th is limited to pre-registered guests, selected via lottery. Registration will open on June 1 at 10 AM online and remain open through June 7. Winners will be contacted on June 10; if you miss out on the lottery, you are welcome to join the standby line on July 4 (unclaimed wristbands will be released at 12 PM).

If you’d like to take an afternoon stroll, head to the Lakeshore beginning at 5 PM! There are two special places for patriotic activities: the Lakeshore Amphitheater and the Pine Grove! Balloon twisters, crazy hair artists, and glitter body art will be stationed at the Pine Grove. Head to the Amphitheater for live music, photo opportunities, face painting, crafts, food and dessert trucks! These activities are open to everyone (no wristbands required).

Don’t forget to save your spot to watch the evening fireworks show! Blankets can be placed around the Lake at 6 AM on July 3. Please leave walkways clear and do not use tarps or stakes. Items placed earlier than 6 AM will be removed and held at the Beach Club for pick-up on July 5. Please note that the former grass areas on Santa Margarita Parkway have been removed as part of the mandatory turf conversion project.

After the sun sets, the winners of the 2025 Voice of SAMLARC singing contest will perform a cappella renditions of "God Bless America" and "The Star-Spangled Banner" before the fireworks show. The patriotic pyrotechnics display will begin shortly after, lighting up the summer night with patriotic colors and designs to celebrate this amazing day! 

The Star Spangled Spectacular is a cherished tradition for our community, and the SAMLARC Board of Directors is committed to making it a day to remember!
