In September 2024, the Landscape and Facilities Enhancement Committee evaluated the facility and determined that replacement flooring would benefit the arena users and facility relevance. Over time, the flooring material has deteriorated, making it difficult for players to practice and play. After months of planning, SAMLARC executed a renovation project to elevate the facility and offer high-quality playing space to SAMLARC Members and visitors.
The old sports court flooring was replaced with professional-grade artificial turf, which includes shock-absorbent padding, an air drain system, and a cooling gel system to aid in the summer months. The conversion project started on December 2 and was completed on December 9, thanks to expert vendors and good weather.
